In Austria, a vignette is mandatory for motorways and expressways. However, there are certain sections on some motorways for which a distance-based toll, the so-called section toll, is charged. It is important to note that a valid vignette may also be required, depending on when you enter these specific toll sections.
A13 Brenner motorway: The entire A13 is subject to section tolls
A 10 Tauern motorway: Between Flachau and Rennweg (Tauern and Katschberg tunnels)
S 16 Arlberg motorway: Between St. Anton am Arlberg and Langen am Arlberg (Arlberg tunnel)
A 11 Karawanken motorway
- southbound: between St. Jakob im Rosental and the state border in the Karawanken tunnel
A9 Pyhrn motorway: Bosruck Tunnel: Between Spital/Pyhrn and Ardning
Gleinalm tunnel: Between St. Michael and Übelbach
